I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
